A Night of Connection, Empowerment, and Shibari at MOREhouse Manor
We recently had the pleasure of hosting an incredible event at MOREHouse Manor called ‘Knotty Nights with Emily.’ This intimate gathering was not just about learning the art of shibari, but also about fostering connections among a small group of fearless women ready to embrace their bodies and their power.
Emily, one of our own “babes”, introduced us to the world of shibari, focusing on the single column tie – the Somerville Bowline, to be precise. But it wasn’t just about the knots and ties. Emily emphasized the importance of consent, ensuring each participant felt comfortable, safe and in control every step of the way.
Shibari is more than just an art form; it’s a journey of self-discovery, trust, and empowerment. Through the intricate ties and knots, we learned to express ourselves freely, to love our bodies unconditionally, and to build bonds with our fellow women.
Laughter echoed through the AFTER DARK Studio as we navigated our way through the ropes, helping each other when needed and celebrating each successful tie. Some of our ladies chose to have an optiona add-on photo session to celebrate her success! It was a night filled with joy, empowerment, and an overwhelming sense of sisterhood.
Our Knotty Nights with Emily is a testament to what Body Beautiful Boudoir is all about – creating a space where women can explore, express, and empower themselves and each other. We believe in the power of body positivity, self-love, and sisterhood, and we strive to embody these values in every event we host.

Knotty Nights with Emily
Body Beautiful and Knotty Emily have partnered to bring you the Knotty Nights with Emily, a Shibari teaching series in the beautiful After Dark Room and MOREhouse Manor.
This teaching series starts at the beginner level and then builds to teach and inform in the beautiful art of Shibari. After each class Body Beautiful offers an optional add-on limited number of individual photo shoots to commemorate and celebrate the newly empowered you.
Beginner classes are repeated periodically for those of you who missed the first round of lessons, allowing more of you to participate.
