Boudoir Session Photographer – Brenda Kerns
I am excited every time I am photographing a client. I am even more giddy if that client is “unsure” or “hesitant” about scheduling a boudoir session. Many clients will book a boudoir session as a gift for their partner without being confident that it is something they will enjoy or be comfortable with.
Such was the case with Miss S. Miss S came in for her session alerting me she would be available for only 30 minutes. She indicated she had many other things to take care of that afternoon. She had been promising her husband a gift of a boudoir session for some time and his birthday was rapidly approaching. It was now or never. I assured her that once we got started shooting, she would begin to relax and enjoy the time we spent focusing on her.
While Miss S is incredibly fit, sexy and confident, she was not comfortable in front of the camera. My job was to make her forget the camera was between me and her and capture her glances and movements as they happened naturally. Her wardrobe choices were fun! Boxing gloves and fitness clothing, sexy tshirt and shorts, lingerie and even a motorcycle jacket and hat. Needless to say, 2 hours later, when I was exhausted from the energy spent, Miss S was sorry that the session was over “so soon!”
Checkmark. Success! Miss S would be presenting a beautiful customized boudoir book to her husband for his birthday! Thank you for stepping outside of your comfort zone and enjoying this experience. I am sure your husband thanks you too!
